Some Memorable Nationals

The National Cross-Country Championship is the biggest, best and most prestigious cross-country event in Scotland.   There is no doubt about that.  However some are maybe more memorable than others and a few of them will be noted here.   The photograph above, which came from John Fairgrieve, is of the start of the 1969 event held at Duddingston in Edinburgh.   Others will include Glenrothes in 1977, Currie in 1972 and Ayr in 1970.
